Hello, thanks for visiting the Joy of Cake, I’m Catherine and I want to tell you a little bit about what I can do for you and who I am. I am a Yorkshire lass, who now lives in Burley in Wharfedale, just north of Leeds and Bradford, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, from where I offer you cakes designed from the heart.

My aim is to provide you with a truly personal, bespoke cake or other sweet treat tailored to your requirements. I want you to feel that in terms of your special event, this is one less thing to have to worry about, to feel confident that you’ve made the right choice in coming to me.

I will work with you if you have a specific design in mind, or help to bring a concept to reality if you need inspiration.  My ultimate satisfaction is when faced with a happy client seeing their cake for the first time… there’s nothing better!

My passions are pretty, artistic designs with painted or sugar crafted flowers or animals.  I also  love to create realistic 3D animal cakes; horses, cats, dogs, you name it! Whatever the request, I always put my heart and soul into it, because at the end of the day, you’re not just asking for a bog standard supermarket cake here; I’m assuming that you’re paying for and wanting something special, made by someone who will go the extra mile and provide that extra touch of style.
