A birthday cake for a young man who wanted a sushi roll cake with salmon and avocado. The rice was made from tiny pieces of rolled out fondant icing. The seaweed effect round the outside of the cake was made by texturing the fondant with a veining tool and then dusting with edible colours to give it a green/gold hue. Edible chopsticks and a small bowl of fondant wasabi finished the scene.
